Division Information:
The Corporate division is the central operating unit of the company setting strategy and policy and providing business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations and legal support to the businesses. Company headquarters are located just outside of Philadelphia in Limerick, PA.
Position Description:
- Manage the receiving, shipping, international, and/or inventory control departments at the DC.
- Within the constraints of current policies, procedures, & regulations (FDA, ISO, OSHA, etcâ¦.), the supervisor is responsible for investigating and analyzing all events and developing action plans that provide and maximize expected results.
- Position includes responsibilities for super! vision of employees in one or more of the following department! s: Domestic Shipping, Inventory Control, Receiving, International Shipping, and Returned Goods Processing.
- Support the growth and development of a start-up Distribution Center and the consolidation of existing distribution centers.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety for all associates at all times.
- Support and improve metrics for the DC operation.
- Focus on continuous improvement within the operation and with customers.
- Demonstrate a solid management and leadership ability with the DC employees.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, good housekeeping practices, and GMPâs, ISO, OSHA, and other government regulations.
- Contribute to a budget development process for the DC operation that includes operating expenses and capital dollar requirements.
- Ensure the timely receipt of products from internal and external suppliers.
- Gain and use knowledge of the existing systems to impr! ove the operation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of Human Relations, analytical skills, leadership skills, be system oriented and demonstrate a working knowledge of the mechanics of technologies and processes within his/her organization.
- Must effectively interrelate with all disciplines that share in responsibilities of his/her organization. Typical working relationships would be with Engineering, IS, Manufacturing, Accounting, Quality, Purchasing, and Human Resources. Frequency level is on an âas neededâ basis.
- One year minimum experience in a DC operation supervising hourly employees, with three to five years of experience preferred. BS degree in business, logistics, or operations is preferred, although equivalent industry experience will be considered.
Medical device industry experience is preferred.
