Analyst

Nielsen has an immediate opening for an Analyst to join our Nielsen Audio team. This position is responsible for reviewing Nielsen Audio audience reports prior to release as a final stage quality and logic check. This will be a time critical review process that must be performed according to the existing report processing and delivery schedules


Responsibilities:

  • $ads={1}

    Research cases identified by dashboard tools that flag potentially problematic changes in audience for reported stations in processed data.
  • Perform further assessment to determine if the change is due to anomalies in raw reported listening from Nielsen diary service households, processing and crediting of listening, or other aspects of the report generation process.
  • Escalate suspicious conditions or potential processing anomalies by communicating the facts of the situation clearly and concisely (including the impact on audience estimates) and describe the decision that must be made to resolve the situation.

Qualifications:

  • Four year degree in business, economics or related fields, or equivalent experience. Computer skills: Intermediate skills with Access, Excel. Experience with Google Tools and MS Office software preferred. Ability to learn and master new applications including custom software designed to support the role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet tight delivery deadlines.
  • Highly disciplined and organized, with strong attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Nielsen Audio products and methodology is a plus.
  • Fast learner that is able to grasp new concepts quickly and accurately.
  • Highly analytical mindset with proven skill in reviewing and analyzing data to identify anomalies, and performing follow-on investigation to resolve.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills: Must be able to quickly and succinctly describe potential problem conditions identified through analysis as a part of an escalation process.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams during core business hours, with a requirement to work extended hours during peak processing periods.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

A reasonable estimate hourly rate range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $14.40-$48.10 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
