This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive of Patient Care Services (PCS) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital. The role will ! assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practices. Role assumes 24/7 responsibility in VP PCS absence. The role is accountable to support VP PCS to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Responsible for coordinating all activities toward meeting the hospital's goals within the PCS Division.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred. Ability to obtain Mississippi RN license, certification in nursing administration desired. Must have minimum of 7-10 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a director of multiple, complex nursing departments. Experience with flexible scheduling highly desired.
