To manage the daily operations of the second shift Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control, and/or International Departments at the North America Distribution Center. This includes the! meeting of customer and stakeholder expectations through the effective use of people, processes and technology within the operation
Division Information:
The Corporate division is the central operating unit of the company setting strategy and policy and providing business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations and legal support to the businesses. Company headquarters are located just outside of Philadelphia in Limerick, PA.
Position Description:
- Manage the Receiving, Domestic/International Shipping, Inventory Control, and/or the Returned Goods Processing departments at the Distribution Center (DC).
- Demonstrate a solid management and leadership ability with the DC employees. Attract, retain, and develop personnel within department. Conduct performance reviews and manage through employee issues. Train team members as needed.
- Within the constraints of current policies! , procedures, & regulations (FDA, ISO, OSHA, etc.), investigat! e and analyze all events relative to and for the development of action plans that provide expected results.
- Support the metrics of the Distribution Center and focus on continuous improvement within the operation and with customers.
- Gain and use knowledge of existing systems to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, good housekeeping practices, and GMP’s, ISO, OSHA, and other government regulations.
- Focus on safety for all people.
- Contribute to a budget development process for the DC operation that includes operating expenses and capital dollar requirements.
- Ensure the timely receipt of products from internal and external suppliers
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or operations or equivalent industry experience required.
- 1 year minimum experience in a DC operation supervisi! ng hourly employees.
