Job Summary: Cleans and services assigned surgery areas accordin! g to cleaning procedures to provide clean and hygienic atmosphere for patient related care. Ensures cleaning cart is restocked with needed and labeled supplies before beginning area cleaning and ensures stocked quantities are adequate. Removes hazardous waste from containers and disposes contents according to established procedure. Performs all tasks with care not to damage building finishes or furnishings and reports any items needing replacement to management. Washes walls in assigned areas using germicidal solution and cleans equipment according to cleaning policy and returns equipment to storage as appropriate. Assists other staff with equipment set-up for surgical cases. Transports patients in a safe and confidential manner as assigned. May perform other duties as assigned. Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Hospital's Compliance and Ethics Policies. Requirements
High School diploma or ge! neral equivalency diploma (GED). Previous experience and/or training in preparing operating rooms for surgery Must have some experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have ability to communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Must have ability to read, follow simple instructions, and to work with minimal supervision and complete detailed written and/or oral instructions.
