Pre-Op RN

Location: Flowood Mississippi

Description: River Oaks Hospital is at the momment seeking for Pre-Op RN right now, this vacancy will be placed in Mississippi. Responsible and accountable for assessment, planning and administration of direct and indirect patient care. Coordinates and supervises safe, economical and efficient functioning of the Operating Room.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

1. Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate quality patient care to all age-specific patient populations. 2. Ability to administer medications without error.

3. Ability to assess and care for the physical, safety, and psychosocial needs of the patient.

4. Ability to delegate tasks and ! be accountable for follow up.

5. Can effectively func! tion in a stressful environment.

6. Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

7. Good verbal and written skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
1. Air-conditioned work area.

2. Must be able to wear masks, caps and/or hoods and gloves for long periods.

3. Must be able to stand in small areas for long periods of time.

4. Handles emergency situations.

5. Lifts supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds.

6. Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients weighing up to 500 pounds with mechanical assistance. 7. Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases.

8. Must be able to hear instructions, one cannot read lips behind masks..

9. Must be able to take surgical call and stay lates when assigned.

10. Must be able to wear personal protective eyewear.

ATTIRE, UNIFORM Scrub clothes provided by the hospital.

No excessive jewelry. !

No artificial fingernails or chipped fingernail polish.

Personal protective equipment when scrubbed and as needed.

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, ETC., REQUIRED :

1. Current Mississippi RN license.

2. Knowledge of general nursing theories and practice.

3. Completion of competence based skills checklist within approved timeframe.

4. Basic Life Support - Health Care Provider Training.

5. SURGERY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
