BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the digital technologies and applying the high safety standards.

According to the guidance of the site management, company policies and procedures, you will be supporting the execution of the digitalization topics for CP operations at ZJVS, to ensure a clear philosophy and focus of digitalization in all clusters. Identifying and collecting requirements of CP-operations in project phase and beyond, understand of the digitalization topics, proactively working with CP operation team, implementation of digital measures.

According to the guidance of the site management, company policies and procedures, you will be supporting the execution of the digitalization topics for CP operations at ZJVS, to ensure a clear philosophy and focus of digitalization in all clusters. Identifying and collecting requirements of CP-operations in project phase and beyond, understand of the digitalization topics, proactively working with CP operation team, implementation of digital measures.
Main Tasks
- Support CP Operations ZJ management to improve employee safety awareness to prevent the incidents and improvement on work safety.
- Support configuration and implementation of topics to make sure a CP standard is implemented, creation of harmonized guidelines.
- As one of the core members in ZJ CP digital community, actively participate in the discussions with project team, monitoring progress and report if any deviation.
- Work closely with key/end users of different digital solutions from operation team, demand collection, communicate and summarize feedback to project team for necessary changes, make sure the deployment meet ZJ CP operational requirement.
- Support on the evaluation of new digital topics, understand the digital solution and the business use case analysis for ZJ CP operation.
- Support plant/BU to standardize their plant digitalization process. Directly support of plant/BU bottom-up demand planning.
What we expect
- Education: Bachelor or Master w/ technical background, majored in Mechanical/Chemical engineering, Electrical engineering (Process automation, instrumentation, control), or IT-engineering (Big data analysis, data management)
- Working Experience: at least 3 years or relevant experiences in digitalization of manufacturing.
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: EHS knowledge, equipment, machinery, DCS, Process and operation knowledge.
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
- High integrity and can take responsible for your actions, able to interact with all levels in the organization.
- Positive, self-motivated.
